31 Days of Gratitude| August 3rd

It’s almost Friday y’all, praise.

I’m not going to try to come up with a different opening for every single day because I’m lazy I don’t have enough time. So, I’m just going to quote the first post so you get the gist of what’s going on here, and then we can jump to the topic of the day ๐Ÿ™‚

With the opening of a new month and new opportunity, I want to bring something a little different to this little site of mine. I read a great post from nellytherebel.blog via a Facebook group I am in (shoutout to yโ€™all!), which was titled:ย โ€œ66 Days ofย Gratitude:ย Make Gratitude a Habit.โ€ I read it and thought, โ€œthis is great.โ€

1. It provides a simple way to think about the little things. As Iโ€™ve beat down on many times on here: I experience major depression and anxiety. Thankfully the depression is in a โ€˜troughโ€™ right now, but anxiety is still a b*tch. This forces me to think about things that I love daily for at least a little bit.

2. Iโ€™ve said time and timeย again here that I want to be more consistent. This is another way to create content that is authentic and meaningful, while remaining consistent.ย

With all of that being said, I would like to adapt Nellyโ€™s 66 days to 31โ€ฆ.one post for every day this month.

Day 3: Which family member are you most grateful for?

I refuse to choose one! Lol. I have always admired my parents, but the older I get, the larger that grows. The two of them have endured so much pain related to their upbringings (as well as between each other to be honest) so for them to have so much love for me as parents always amazes me. I truly respect and am in awe that they are able to be as good of parents as they are, and I couldn’t wish for any other pair to be mine ๐Ÿ™‚

Keep up with me onย TWITTERย andย INSTAGRAM! Also drop your links below so I can check them out ๐Ÿ˜Š

  1. This is a beautiful idea! I feel the same about my parents. I didn’t appreciate them the way I should have when I was younger. Now I’m older and I have my own family my parents are my best friends! Great post!!

    • I highly recommend checking out the original post! Nelly has a full 61 days of prompts so you can get as creative as you want with them ๐Ÿ™‚ That’s a great idea, and something I might start implementing. Thanks for reading!
