I basically use the same makeup products in my routine, so there isn’t usually too much that gets finished that hasn’t been discussed on here before. That might change, so I figured I would start this as a mini series since I do make slight changes for things like mascara and face powder.
With that being said, onto the empties!
Kiss NY Aqua BB Beauty Balm in Medium
I initially talked about this product here and mentioned it again here and numerous other times on this site: this ish isn’t going anywhere. Yes, I may venture out and try some other foundation/base out of curiosity, but this is my holy grail and I don’t intend on switching to anything else anytime soon. The Kiss Aqua BB cream has served me faithfully for about two years now if I’m not mistaken, and I WILL NOT find anything comparable at the moment for $7-$8 like this product. I’ll probably re-review this down the line some time soon, but this is my shit 🙌🏾✨
L’oreal Miss Manga Voluminous Waterproof Mascara
I’ve talked about this product before here as well, and my opinions on it haven’t changed. If you’re looking for some “gone with the wind” lashes, you’ll find them right in this little black and pink tube. Again, I’ll re-review this in another post since this is just an empties post, but this mascara is life. DASSIT.
L’oreal True Match Super-Blendable Powder
This isn’t my holy grail powder or anything, but it’s nice for just setting. I haven’t been able to use this as a stand alone simply for the fact that I haven’t found a shade that’s a good enough match. I do like that this powder is available at most drugstores and larger retailers (like Target), and that it’s part of the True Match line that has a wide variety of shades. I think that once the one I have right now is finished, I’ll try to find a cheaper option (since this is about $10-$11), or switch to a tinted/shaded loose powder.
Becca Ever Matte Poreless Priming Perfector
This is definitely one of my more splurge-worthy purchased, but it does what it does very well. I haven’t been able to find a primer yet that does as good a job keeping my face matte like this does. After the tube I have finishes, I think I’ll have to test out a couple of the primers I have on hand because I have to move into school soon and buy books so I don’t have $43 to drop on another one 😂
Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black
I have about 7 of these in sample sizes, and this was my last one
until my godmother got me some more from her Clinique plug. I like this mascara when I am not looking for anything very dramatic for my lashes. This does a nice job on its own separating and adding definition to my lashes for a nice eye-opening look. I also like this mascara because if I am looking for something more dramatic, this is nice for layering on top of other mascaras.
E.L.F. Liquid Eyeliner in Black
This has been my go-to liner for years now. It’s not waterproof or anything like that, but it’s very pigmented, lasts for a long time, and the costs is unbeatable! The brush is a nice size, and is thin enough to make fine lines or thick lines. I also like the fact that the handle isn’t too long or too short, so it’s not awkward holding it against your face/eye to make a line. As for the cost, it used to be $1 no matter where I went, but now it’s $2 at some places I go to. Regardless, I haven’t found a better liquid eyeliner yet, so this is getting repurchased.
Well, that’s all for now. I’m looking for a nice inexpensive non-ashy setting/baking powder by the way. Any suggestions?
