Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector Review

The Becva Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector…say that three times fast.

Anyway, this is the only product I’ve kept around that I’ve finished recently. This is pretty interesting to me considering I basically use the same products every day, but that’s a different story.

Sans the price tag, this primer has done great things for me and my makeup, and I don’t think there’s any turning back now. Let me try to break down the claims and such and address each point as it relates to me. Soooooo:

This is true. This primer will suck up every bit of moisture from your face, so careful in your use. When I first got this, I erred more on the liberal side when applying, but quickly found this was a horrible idea. Like I said, it really mattifies and gives you a matte blank canvas. It also leaves a white cast on the face once it dries. But, the effects of the primer do last for a very long time. I usually have my makeup on from around 10-11 AM – 12-1 AM the next day to give some reference.

Again, this primer really does target oil. A little too well haha. It’s not invincible, as I will start getting oily on my cheeks and sides of my nose after some time. Like I said in the previous section, it doesn’t break down or anything, but oil does peak through. I personally wouldn’t use this alone just because no matter what amount I use, it leaves a white cast. Then I moisturizer under it anyhow, so to out more over it would be repetitive…I could be wrong. I use it before makeup, and that has worked. I’ll have to try applying it over my foundation and maybe one day throughout the day if needed. I probably wouldn’t use it for the latter very often due to the price tag ($36).

The ingredients: I’m not stating these things to say that they’re lying or anything, merely that I can feel/smell that they’re true? If that makes sense. Anyway, it doesn’t feel like a silicone primer (having that slippery kind of consistency), I don’t have any sheen after (of course since its a matte primer), it doesn’t dry the skin in the way that products with alcohol do, nor is there any smell of any in the product, and there is no fragrance at all. I haven’t worn this in very hot weather yet, so I can’t speak to the humidity-proof/sweat-proof claims as yet.

With all of that being said, I think that this is going to be a staple purchase for me. It’s done nothing but good for my makeup routine (when used properly), and I haven’t found a cheaper alternative.

Hopefully this was of some help!

    • My face sweats a lot too (it’s very annoying), but the primer helps keep your skin matte. In the past, the UD All Nighter Spray really helped me out a lot. It kept my face BEAT through sweat, parties, everything! I highly recommend that combo.
