Selma Review

I saw this movie today (1/9/15) with my friend, and I honestly don’t have any words.

It was an amazing film, and it truly made me appreciate, as a black woman, all of the effort that went into the Civil Rights movement to grant the rights we have today.

I don’t really have too much else to say other than the fact that it was amazing, didn’t downplay violence that was experienced (and depicted it as truthfully as possible), and you should go see it.

  1. This movie looks sooo good, I want to watch it right now aha, it’s always really good when they portray events more realistically and don’t downplay things, like in 12 years a slave – that film is so powerful and blunt about slavery
